SFPL, a diversified entity based in Hyderabad is present in poultry integration, feeds, premixes, solvent extractions and refining of edible oils. It traces its humble beginning way back in 1982 by the visionary D.Ram Reddy, the first generation entrepreneur who started retail chicken outlets under the brand name “Ram Reddy Chicken Market” in Hyderabad. SFPL rebranded its chicken retailing into “Sneha Fresh Chicken” and soon the name became synonymous for quality.

Consistent business growth and incremental demand for quality chicken provided impetus for entering commercial broiler farming subsequently. Also, due to the soaring demand for quality broiler day old chicks for sustainable commercial broiler farming, SFPL decided to set up breeding farms and a hatchery.

The incredible success achieved in broiler breeding encouraged the promoters to expand broiler breeding and commercial broiler production under the contract growing model. To support huge feed requirement for captive consumption, it is recognized to have integrated feed plants in place. Backward integration move with an initiative to deliver the objective of ’quality feed’ for supporting the chicken production met with desirable results. The well cohesively connected feed production units established in various parts of India reinforced the complete integration farming process creating well placed value system in the industry.

Phenomenal success in poultry feed through quality initiatives coupled with service attitude, created demand from various quarters and encouraged management to widen the spectrum of activity by foraying in to aqua feed manufacturing.

With a view to provide quality inputs for a better feed, SFPL set up a Soy Solvent Extraction Plant in Maharashtra and a Rice Bran Extraction plant in Karimnagar. These facilities provide unadulterated Soy DOC and DORB which are critical to ensure ultimate feed quality.

The crude oils generated in the extraction process gave an opportunity to set up an edible oil refinery with a capacity of 100TPD and also foray into Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) segment by launching consumer packs in Southern and Central India under various brands.

To meet dynamic consumption patterns and the growing demand for processed chicken in convenient packing, SFPL planned an entry into processed chicken segment.
